No Naked Bear Ladies!
Did you see what I did there with that title? I don't listen to the Barenaked Ladies except during the opening and closing of The Big Bang episodes, but I know they're a band. BTW, if you have never seen that TV show (Big Bang is in reruns only now), you've GOT to!
Anyway, I wanted to show you an easy way to alter images, such as the naked bear in Count on Me. Isn't her jumper just the cutest?!
- Pool Party card (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4")
- Early Espresso layer (3-5/8" x 4-7/8")
- Basic White layers (3-1/2" x 4-3/4", 3-3/4" x 5")
- Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon (8-9")
Directions
- Stamp bear to the left of center on the smaller Basic White layer.
- Use mirroring technique (https://stamperhood.blogspot.com/2022/04/easy-mirror-technique.html) to stamp the mirror image of the bear to the right of center. Bear bodies should be very close or even touching. Note: I also go over the mirroring technique again in the video below.
- Using the Basic Black Stampin' Write marker, draw in the outline of the jumper and add any patterns (like flowers, stripes, etc.).
- Color bears and bear outfit as desired using Stampin' Blends markers.
- Add some shadow/ground underneath the bears using Crumb Cake and the Color Lifter.
- Adhere Basic White layer to Early Espresso layer and then to Pool Party card base.
- Add a bow made from Pale Papaya ribbon and add to the top left of the card with a mini glue dot.
- Stamp a single bear image on the inside of the card and color the heart using Stampin' Blends. You can also color the entire bear, if so desired.
