Pretty Flowers, Pretty Colors
I haven't played with Summer Splash much since this In Color debuted in May. I vowed to use it for my Friday Night Live this week and I stumbled upon a gorgeous color combination: Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Night of Navy. I took a stamp/die bundle that looks (and is) simple to use and created a beauty of card, based on the design of one of Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team members.
Measurements of Consumables
- Summer Splash card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
- Basic White cardstock (two 4" x 5-1/4", scraps)
- Pool Party cardstock (1/2" x 3")
- In Color 6x6 DSP (Summer Splash, circles pattern)
- Essentials Twine (white, 8-9")
Directions
- Die cut three label shapes from one of the Basic White layers, off-setting them as shown.
- Emboss the die cut Basic White layer using the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.
- Adhere the DSP to the card base, then add the embossed Basic White layer to the card front using Dimensionals.
- Stamp5-6 flower images in Petunia Pop ink on Basic White cardstock, then add stems/leaves image in Summer Splash ink. Fussy cut. Adhere to card front.
- Stamp the outline butterfly three times on Basic White scrap and fussy cut.
- Tie a bow with the white twine and adhere to the middle left side where the middle butterfly will go using.a glue dot.
- Add butterflies to card using Dimensionals. Add Wink of Stella to butterfly images.
- Stamp Just for You in Night of Navy on Pool Party strip and adhere to card, tucking the left edge under the butterfly/flowers.
- Add rhinestones as desired.
- On the inside, stamp the label outline in Night of Navy on the Basic White layer. Add Happy Birthday and flowers in Petunia Pop, then add the leave/stems in Summer Splash. Adhere layer to inside of card.
