Pretty Flowers, Pretty Colors

I haven't played with Summer Splash much since this In Color debuted in May. I vowed to use it for my Friday Night Live this week and I stumbled upon a gorgeous color combination: Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Night of Navy. I took a stamp/die bundle that looks (and is) simple to use and created a beauty of card, based on the design of one of Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team members.

Measurements of Consumables

  • Summer Splash card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
  • Basic White cardstock (two 4" x 5-1/4", scraps)
  • Pool Party cardstock (1/2" x 3")
  • In Color 6x6 DSP (Summer Splash, circles pattern)
  • Essentials Twine (white, 8-9")
Directions
  1. Die cut three label shapes from one of the Basic White layers, off-setting them as shown.
  2. Emboss the die cut Basic White layer using the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.
  3. Adhere the DSP to the card base, then add the embossed Basic White layer to the card front using Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp5-6 flower images in Petunia Pop ink on Basic White cardstock, then add stems/leaves image in Summer Splash ink. Fussy cut. Adhere to card front.
  5. Stamp the outline butterfly three times on Basic White scrap and fussy cut.
  6. Tie a bow with the white twine and adhere to the middle left side where the middle butterfly will go using.a glue dot.
  7. Add butterflies to card using Dimensionals. Add Wink of Stella to butterfly images.
  8. Stamp Just for You in Night of Navy on Pool Party strip and adhere to card, tucking the left edge under the butterfly/flowers.
  9. Add rhinestones as desired.
  10. On the inside, stamp the label outline in Night of Navy on the Basic White layer. Add Happy Birthday and flowers in Petunia Pop, then add the leave/stems in Summer Splash. Adhere layer to inside of card.
