What's Moo in the Stamperhood?

There have been so many gorgeous and fun products from Stampin' Up! this year that I've haven't been able to get to them all during my Friday Night Lives. Tonight's project was created with the Cutest Cows bundle which, thankfully, is carrying over to the new catalog. Well, the bundled price (saving 10%) isn't carrying over, but both the stamp set and punch are. This set makes such ADORABLE cards. I played with it a bunch last night while prepping for my spring retreat next weekend (Cutest Cows is an add-on class).

Cardstock Measurements
  • Thick Basic White cardstock (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
  • Granny Apple Green cardstock (5-1/4" x 4")
  • Basic Black cardstock (3-3/4" x 2-1/2")
  • Basic White cardstock (3-1/2" x 2-1/4", scrap)
  • Flowering Zinnias DSP (two 4-1/4" x 1"), two 1" x 3")

Directions
  1. Adhere the four strips of DSP to the Granny Apply Green layer so that the strips go right to the edges.
  2. Stamp the cow's body in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the Basic White layer, and stamp the cow's head in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the Basic White scrap. Punch out the head.
  3. Color the cow's spots, hooves, hair and tail using Basic Black Stampin' Write marker (or Stampin' Blends).
  4. Color the cows' udder, inner ears, and snout using SU1000 Stampin' Blend.
  5. Stamp the grass image repeatedly at the bottom of the Basic White layer using Granny Apple Green ink.
  6. Stamp the medium-sized chicken in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Peach Pie Stampin' Blends.
  7. Stamp the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  8. Add cow's head to the stamped layer using a Dimensional.
  9. Adhere stamped layer to Basic Black layer, then adhere to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  10. Stamp the trio of sunflowers on the inside of the card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then color with Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie Stampin' Write Markers.
  11. Add a dragonfly to the front of the card.
