Spring is in the Air Double Arrow Point Fun Fold
Inspired by a card I received from a team member (who credits Tami White), I created a spring-inspired card. I had anticipated losing power in yesterday's storm, so I teased that I might do a Snow Day live. But, not only did I lose power, but I lost internet. My generator helps with power, but not internet. So I created this during a Friday Night Live shot from my workplace, which DOES have power and internet.
Measurements
- Basic Black cardstock (4-1/4" x 5-1/2", 2-1/2" x 4" and two 2-1/4" x 3-3/4")
- Basic White cardstock (2-1/4" x 3-3/4" and 2" x 3-1/2")
- DSP Pattern 1 (the Gorgeous Grape one in my sample, 4" x 5-1/4")
- DSP Pattern 2 (the Lost Lagoon one in my sample, two 3" x 4")
- Linen Thread (about 20")
Directions (refer to the video...the directions will make much more sense!)
- On the larger of the two Basic White layers, ink the lavender bloom image in Highland Heather and then "thump" on Gorgeous Grape ink with a Stampin' Write marker. Add stems in Lost Lagoon ink.
- Adhere stamped layer to 2-1/2" x 4" Basic Black layer.
- Stamp sentiment on remaining Basic White layer using either Gorgeous Grape or Lost Lagoon ink. Layer onto one of the 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" Basic Black layers.
- Take one of the 3" x 4" DSP layers and score on the 3" side at 1" (dividing it into a 1" section and a 2" section). Take a pen and mark the back side of the DSP at the middle (2") of the 4" side furthest from the 1" score line. Repeat with other 3" x 4" layer.
- On both of the 3" x 4" DSP pieces, score from the center 2" mark to the edge of the 1" mark on each end. Fold and adhere down.
- Adhere the 1" strip to the back of the top of the 4" x 5-1/4" DSP layer and repeat with the other DSP layer on the bottom.
- Adhere the 4" x 5-1/4" DSP to the Basic Black base.
- Adhere the inside sentiment layers to the center of the purple DSP layer.
- Place the remaining 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" Basic Black layer on top of the inside sentiment layer. Adhere top arrow point to this, then add Dimensionals to the Basic Black layer. Take care not to place the dimensionals where the remaining arrow will fall when folded.
- Adhere front focal layer to the Basic Black layer from the previous step. It's easiest to do this with the flap open.
Watch the replay (it really is easier than the directions make it seem!)
