A Valentine to be Treasured
I have to admit that I really like most (LOL) of the projects I present, but this one really stands out! It's a unique gift box with a domed lid...reminds me of a treasure chest. But the best part is that it doesn't take much in the way of supplies and it is sooooo easy and quick to put together.
Cardstock Measurements
- Sweet Sorbet cardstock (6" x 8", scraps)
- Basic White cardstock (1" x 2-3/4")
- Bee Mine DSP (striped pattern, 4" x 6" with lines running vertically when held portrait orientation)
Directions
- Score at 2" on all four sides of the 6" x 8" Sweet Sorbet.
- Cut along score lines as shown in diagram above and miter the edges of the resulting tabs.
- Fold tabs in and adhere to form box.
- Punch two 2" circles from Sweet Sorbet cardstock.
- Apply adhesive to the bottom half of each circle and attach one on each end of your box. You may find it helpful to score them in half first so you have a line to guide, but you can usually "feel" what halfway is when placing them.
- On the back side of the box, apply adhesive (or apply adhesive to the bottom 2" of the DSP if using Seal+.
- Stamp "friend" in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White layer, then adhere so that only half of it is on the DSP.
- Add two small Velcro discs, one on each end of the back side of the DSP, then a third on the bottom middle of the Basic White sentiment layer. Remove backings and adhere to the box. You can also use small magnets.
- Punch a large and small heart from Sweet Sorbet scrap and adhere to front of box.
- Add a heart from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers collection.
- Fill with whatever fits!
