The Stars are Shining Brightly

 It's December 1st, so that means the time for ornate Christmas cardmaking is over! But that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice beauty. With just a few products and some pretty paper, you can create beautiful cards in almost no time!



Measurements of Required Papers
  • Gold Foil Sheets (3-1/4" x 1-7/8", scrap for manger scene, scrap for inside sheep)
  • Basic White cardstock (scrap at least 3-1/2" x 2-1/4")
  • Night of Navy cardstock (scrap for manger scene)
  • Shining Brightly DSP (3-3/4" x 5")
Directions
  1. Adhere DSP to Brushed Gold card base.
  2. Die cut nativity and a sheep from Gold Foil.
  3. Stamp sentiment in Night of Navy ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut using the second smallest rectangle from the Scalloped Contours dies.
  4. Adhere sentiment layer to Gold Foil rectangle, then to top of card front.
  5. Adhere manger scene using Mini Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp inside sentiment using Night of Navy ink.
  7. Die cut manger scene from Night of Navy cardstock and trim down to just Joseph, Mary and Jesus. Adhere to bottom of the inside of the card. Also adhere the gold sheep.

 It was rainy and cool all day today, but that's not going to dampen my beach vibes! I was inspired by a card done by a German demonstrator named Antje to create this sweet little card featuring the On the Horizon bundle from the Jan-June mini catalog. This bundle will be retiring at the end of June, but since I live in a beach community, I can't see it retiring from my collection any time soon. Who Wants Some Apple Cider?

 It's apple season in Maine. I have to be honest, I don't pick a lot of apples. Or drink a lot of apple cider. But I do love apple cider doughnuts, so that counts, right? Tonight, I featured the More than Autumn bundle, which was also featured in my Sept. 24th Tune in Tuesday class. I love this bundle and think you will also! Measurements Crumb Cake card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4") Splendid Autumn DSP (medium green background and deep red background, each 3" x 4-1/2", plus a scrap of the deep red background) Basic White cardstock (5/8" x 3", scraps) Directions Adhere green background layer to card base on an angle, then add the red background layer on top, at a different angle.  Die cut circle from Basic White cardstock.  It's still summery here in southern Maine, but the nights are getting cooler and it won't be long before the leaves begin changing. Until then, I have a card for you made with the Changing Leaves bundle, an Online Exclusive from Stampin' Up! It's currently on backorder, but should be in the week of September 9th.
