BEEcause Christmas is Over!

Christmas is over and so I can finally move on from Christmas cards and projects to something else...namely product debuting in just a few days. Yes, the Jan-Apr Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog and SALE-a-bration brochure are going live on January 4th and I'm so excited to share some of the products with you, including the Bee Mine Suite.

I've use the Bee My Valentine stamp set, the Bee Builder punch, the Square Pillow Boxes, Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon and the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers to quickly create tonight's project. All of these products are from the Bee Mine Suite, found on pages 8-9 of the Mini Catalog.

Directions

  1. Use a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink to add a light blue layer to the pillow box, giving the illusion that the bee is flying in the sky. If you are going to stamp on the box directly (I did not), do so now.
  2. Assemble the pillow box by folding on all the score lines, then adhering the ends together.
  3. Stamp the oval (bee's body) in Daffodil Delight ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock.
  4. Stamp the stripes and stinger image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on top of the body that you just stamped. Add one of the faces in Black as well. Punch using the Bee Builder Punch.
  5. Punch the large heart from Petal Pink cardstock, then stamp the wings image in Petal Pink on it.
  6. Adhere wings to bee using a mini glue dot.
  7. Tie some Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon around the box and into a bow. Add the bee with dimensionals.
  8. Add some of the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers.

Please note that I am unable to post the pictures of the list of products as I normally do because the mini catalog is not live at the time of this post.
