On the SEVENTH Sunday of Christmas...

On the seventh Sunday of Christmas, Sharon shared with me...a Christmas tree-shaped treat holder! And it's so adorable in pink. I'm pretty sure it's adorable in any color, though. I need to give a shout out to fellow demonstrator Brenda Quintana who had posted a larger version. I suppose I should give a shout out to God for giving me math and problem-solving skills so that I was able to resize it to a smaller version.

Measurements for Smaller Tree (fits about 6 Hershey Kisses)
  • Bubble Bath cardstock (5" x 5" piece for tree front and back), 1-1/2" x 8", 1-1/2" x 7-5/8")
  • Basic White cardstock (scrap for ornaments and star)
  • Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper (Berry Burst, 3-1/4" x 1-1/2" for garland and star)
  • Adhesive Sheet (slightly smaller than the Berry Burst Soft Shimmer paper)
Diagram for Sides

Directions
  1. Stamp tree in Fresh Freesia ink twice on the Bubble Bath square. Die cut.
  2. Stamp ornament trio once in Bubble Bath ink on Basic White scrap and again in Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White scrap. Die cut ornaments as well as the detailed star (not stamped, just die cut).
  3. Apply Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Soft Shimmer rectangle and die cut garland and solid star.
  4. Decorate one of the stamped trees with the garland, then add the ornaments and star using glue.
  5. Beginning with the larger strip of Bubble Bath cardstock, score on the short side at 1-1/4". Rotate and score at 2", 4-7/8" and 7-3/4" on the long side. Cut notches/ends as shown in the diagram. Fold and burnish.
  6. On the shorter strip of Bubble Bath cardstock, score on the short side at 1-1/4". Rotate and score on the long side at 1-7/8", 4-5/8" and 7-3/8"). Cut notches/ends as shown in the diagram. Fold and burnish.
  7. Beginning with the longer strip (this gets attached to the decorated tree), join the ends with glue so that the 1/4" tab is on the inside of the triangle. Apply glue to the 1/4" folded portions of the side and adhere to the back of the decorated tree. Take the time to center as best you can.
  8. Repeate Step 7 with the smaller strip, except adhere to the back of the stamped-but-not-decorated tree.
  9. Fill box with Hershey Kisses.
