Inspiration from a Gift

A team member (and recent class participant) brought me a gift last weekend...a roll of wired Christmas ribbon that coordinates with the Trucking Along bundle! It's such cute ribbon, I had to create a matching card and gift tag to go with it!

Measurements to Create the Card and Tag

  • Crumb Cake card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
  • Crumb Cake scrap (at least 3-1/2" x 3-1/2")
  • Black and White Gingham Ribbon (8" and 10" lengths)
Directions
  1. Stamp the fill image of the truck in Real Red ink onto the Crumb Cake card front.
  2. Stamp the truck outline image in Early Espresso ink over the red truck.
  3. Stamp the wheel image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  4. Stamp the fill image of the tree with Shaded Spruce ink so that it's laying in the truck bed.
  5. Stamp the outline image of the tree with Shaded Spruce ink over the previously stamped tree.
  6. Stamp the ground detail image in Early Espresso ink beneath the truck.
  7. Stamp the sentiment beneath the truck using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  8. Add Craft White Ink to hub caps using a Blender Pen, then add "snow" detail with the Craft White/Blender Pen to various spots on the truck, tree and ground.
  9. Repeat Steps 1-8 on the Crumb Cake scrap, then die cut using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies.
  10. Punch a hole in the top of the circle and thread through the 10" piece of ribbon. Tie a knot near where the ribbon joins the tag.
  11. Tie a bow with the remaining ribbon and add to tag using a Mini Glue Dot.
