Blue and White and Gold All Over

It's November, so that means that if you haven't started thinking about the Christmas cards you want to make...you need to start! And if you have a lot of them to make, then you really need to start and you need to keep them simple. But that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice beauty. This card is a perfect example. I did use a retired sentiment stamp set for this card...because the stamp set I wanted to use (Joy to You) has not been delivered yet.

For paper products, you'll need:

  • Brushed Gold card and envelope
  • Shining Brightly DSP (Navy with Gold Stars pattern, 4" x 5-1/4" - and a scrap if you want to decorate the inside)
  • Vellum (4" wide, about 1-1/2" taller than the sentiment going on it)

Directions
  1. Adhere DSP to Brushed Gold card.
  2. Tear the top and bottom edges of the vellum.
  3. Run Embossing Buddy over the vellum, stamp sentiment in Versamark on vellum, add gold embossing powder and heat.
  4. Squeeze some glue onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, then apply to the back of the vellum using a sponge. Make sure there are no globs on your vellum. Add to card front.
  5. Add start trinket.
  6. Stamp an inside sentiment and decorate with leftover DSP, if desired.
