Trucking Along on a Friday Night
There's just something about fall that makes me think of good, old=fashioned things...like this truck! I'm not a huge car fan and can't tell you the difference between a Maserati and an Aston Martin, but I can tell the difference between a new truck and an old one. I can also tell you that I prefer the kind that is represented in the Trucking Along stamp set! And I prefer the stamp set because it's a stamp set with an accompanying punch!
Directions
- Stamp the tree outline in Pecan Pie ink repeatedly across the card base.
- Ink tree fill image in Crushed Curry, then "thump" with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker, and stamp on top of an outline image. Repeat until all trees have leaves.
- Ink the "dirt" image with Old Olive and stamp repeatedly along the base of the trees, creating a grassy area where the trees are planted.
- Clean "dirt" image. Ink with Crumb Cake ink and stamp repeatedly between grassy area and base of card to create a dirt road.
- On the scrap of Very Vanilla, stamp the outline of the truck in Gray Granite ink.
- Ink the truck fill image with Cajun Craze and stamp on top of the outline image. The light parts of the fill image near the fenders belong just under the lines of the fenders on the outline image.
- Stamp the wheels stamp in Black ink.
- Punch out truck and add to card base using Dimensionals.
- Add a sentiment in Cajun Craze in the top right of the card.
Here's the video that will better show you the process (and the thumping technique):
