What's Gray and White and Pink All Over?

 I'm just a few days away from a week-long getaway to Las Vegas, where I'll be attending Stampin' Up!'s BackStage event for leaders, and doing some vacationing with my husband on either side of it. So I've been trying to tie up loose ends and get things ready for the event, and in place at my full-time job. One of my coworkers is about to welcome a new baby into his family and it could very well happen while I'm gone, so I thought I'd make a card just to be prepared for the happy event. The baby is a girl, so I had to reach for the pink. I know pink is very stereortypical, but I just love it with gray and I knew I wanted to use my new Little Dreamers bundle, so...


Measurements of Consumables

  • Bubble Bath card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
  • Bubble bath cardstock (scraps)
  • Basic Gray cardstock (3-1/2" x 4-3/4")
  • Smoky Slate cardstock (scrap)
  • Basic White cardstock (two 3-1/4" x 4-1/2")
  • Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack (pink, 22")

Directions
  1. Emboss the Basic White layer with the bubble folder from the Basics 3D set of folders.
  2. Adhere embossed white layer to Basic Gray layer. 
  3. Wrap ribbon around the bottom of the layers (landscape) and tie in a bow on the right edge.
  4. Stamp elephant image in Basic Gray ink onto Smoky Slate scrap. 
  5. Stamp "A Star is Born" in Basic Gray on a scrap of Bubble Bath.
  6. Die cut elephant with its coordinating die, the sentiment using a banner die from Stylish Shapes, and a set of three stars (from Bubble Bath).
  7. Add elephant and sentiment to embossed white layer with Dimensionals, and stars with Mini Dimensionals. 
  8. Color stars with Wink of Stella.
  9. Adhere layers to card base.
  10. Stamp an elephant and "Congratulations..." sentiment in Basic Gray ink on remaining Basic White layer. 
  11. Stamp stars in Bubble Bath ink as desired over/around sentiment, then adhere layer to inside of card.
