Fill you life with JOY!

I shot tonight's Friday Night Live in Pittsburg, NH, my younger son's most favorite place in the world. He doesn't do anything special here, he just hangs out in the family cabin. But it's what Pittsburg doesn't have that brings him joy. He doesn't experience traffic lights or even any real traffic. It's the little things in life. And so, in honor of the joy that this place brings to him, I'm creating a JOY FOLD card.

Note: The card above is a variation of the one I did on the video. Here I used Lemon Lime cardstock, Pretty Peacock ink and different designs from the DSP. It's otherwise the same. The directions below are for the card above.

Cardstock Measurements

  • Pretty Peacock cardstock (4-1/4" x 8-1/2")
  • Lemon Lime cardstock (3" x 8")
  • Berry Burst cardstock (scrap)
  • Basic White cardstock (two 2-3/4" x 3-3/4")
  • Masterfully Made DSP (Design 1: 4" x 5 1/4" landscape, Design 2: 2-3/4" x 4" portrait)
Directions
  1. Score Pretty Peacock layer at 5-1/2", fold into a card base with the small flap on the front left, and burnish.
  2. Attach DSP Design 1 to the "inside" of the Pretty Peacock base.
  3. Adhere DSP Design 2 to the front left panel of the Pretty Peacock base.
  4. Score the Lemon Lime cardstock at 4" and fold into a mini card and burnish. The fold should be on the right.
  5. Adhere the back of the mini card to the center of the inside of the Pretty Peacock card base.
  6. Stamp the sentiment on the front of one of the Basic White layers, then adhere to the front flap of the Lemon Lime mini card.
  7. Stamp a sentiment on or decorate, if you wish, the remaining Basic White layer and adhere to the inside of the mini card.
  8. Die cut a heart from the Berry Burst scrap and add to the card front with a Dimensional so that it will serve as a place to tuck the front of the mini card.
  9. Add Tinsel Gems as desired.
