What a Christmas Treat...Container!

Presentation, presentation, presentation. Just like location matters to a house's value, presentation matters to a gift's value. Taking the time to create a gift that is beautifully presented can turn an inexpensive gift into something extra special. Here's a box that measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/4".

Cardstock and Ribbon Measurements
  • Garden Green cardstock (10-1/2" x 6")
  • Gold Foil sheet (3" x 3")
  • Basic White cardstock (2-3/4" x 2-3/4")
  • Red & Gold Dotted ribbon (about 24")

Directions
  1. On the long edge of the Garden Green piece, score at 1-1/4", 4-3/4", 6" and 9-1/2". Turn and score on the short edge at 1-1/4" and 4-3/4".
  2. Cut the score marks on each long edge up to the closest score line and miter the square tabs only.
  3. Use a circle punch or die to create a finger notch in the center of one of the short edges.
  4. Fold square tabs in and adhere to form box.
  5. On Basic White layer, stamp wreath in Garden Green ink, then add berries in Real Red ink.
  6. Stamp "Merry Christmas" in the center of the wreath using Real Red ink.
  7. Mount wreath layer onto Gold Foil square.
  8. Close box and wrap ribbon around the box, tying in a bow on the back edge of the box.
  9. Adhere stamped layer to box.
Note: To dress it up even more, you can die cut the wreath and adhere it with dimensionals to a
separate Basic White square, then stamp the sentiment in the middle.
