Timeless Arrangements is timeless AND versatile!
When the new catalog came out in April (as a demonstrator, I saw it a month before it went live), I noticed a lot of things, but Timeless Arrangements wasn't one that got much of a second glance. And, yet, now I think it will be a set that I use many, many times. First, it has a lot of sentiments...something we all need more of, am I right? Second, the dies make for easy dimension and use. They are soooo easy to use but give the illusion that I probably spent a lot of time gluing little pieces onto my card. Love simple that looks tedious!
Measurements
- Pretty Peacock card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
- Basic White cardstock (4" x 5-1/4", scraps)
- Pretty Peacock cardstock (scrap)
- Hello, Irresistible DSP (4-1/4" x 5-1/2")
- Basic White Herringbone Ribbon (about 4")
Directions
- Adhere DSP to card front.
- Stamp sentiment (I used a sentiment from Something Fancy because my loyal followers requested a sympathy card) on Basic White scrap using Pretty Peacock ink.
- Stamp two of the open leaf sprigs on Basic White scrap using Pretty Peacock ink. Using a Blender Pen, pick up some ink from your Pretty Peacock pad (either squeeze ink into the cover or dab a clear block onto the pad, then get ink from there) and color in the leaves.
- Die cut sentiment, open leaf sprigs and the largest leaf with bar (for gluing) from the Basic White scrap and the bar with the three stems with circles from Pretty Peacock scrap.
- Adhere the Pretty Peacock die cut to the back of the sentiment layer, then add the Basic White bar with the leaves, then add in the stamped/die cut open leaf images.
- Cut one of the edges of the 4" ribbon strip, then pull threads to get the wispy goodness you see in the photo. Adhere the wisps to the card front with Seal or Seal+.
- Stamp the open leaf stamp in Pretty Peacock directly on the card front so that it'll show under the sentiment layer. Color in the leaves using a Blender Pen as before.
- Adhere sentiment and leaf layers to card front using dimensionals.
- Stamp open leaf stamp in Pretty Peacock ink on large Basic White layer and adhere to inside of card.
Here's the video where I created this card during a Friday Night Live:
