Sweet Little Monkey Asleep on the Leaves

It's been awhile since I've needed to send a baby card, but since I do have a coworker who will be welcoming a child at the end of summer, I thought I would get a head start! And since I was playing with the Little Monkey bundle for an upcoming class, I decided now was a good time.

Paper supplies and their measurements
  • Basic White Notecard
  • Basic White cardstock (3" x 4", scraps)
  • Pecan Pie cardstock (scrap)
  • Crumb Cake (scrap)
  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (scrap)
  • Glorious Gingham DSP (1-1/2" x 5")

Directions
  1. Stamp the large leaves in Garden Green ink in the middle of the Basic White layer, radiating the leaves out from the center. I stamped three directly onto the layer and then I stamped two on my scrap layer. Color using Lemon Lime Twist Blends. Fussy cut the two on the scrap layer.
  2. Stamp the bushier leaves around the previously stamped leaves, also using Garden Green ink and color them with the Granny Apple Green Blends.
  3. Fill in white areas with the vine image, using Garden Green ink. Color with Dark Granny Apple Green Blend.
  4. Stamp monkey in Pecan Pie ink on Pecan Pie scrap. Punch out using Little Monkey punch.
  5. Stamp the face image in Pecan Pie ink on Crumb Cake scrap, then punch out (make sure you're getting ears at the same time.
  6. Adhere the face and ears to the stamp using Tombow glue.
  7. Adhere Monkey to the stamped Basic White layer using Dimensionals. If there are bare spots, add in the fussy cut leaves as desired.
  8. Adhere DSP strip to the notecard with Tombow glue, then add the stamped Basic White layer to the card with Dimensionals.
  9. Stamp "Little Monkey" in Garden Green ink on Lemon Lime Twist scrap twice. Fussy cut around "monkey" on one, and do straight cuts on "Little". Adhere to card front.
  10. Decorate the inside of the card as desired.
