Simple Stamping with the Easter Bunny

I have to admit, I love my stampin' tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, dies and embossing folders, heat tool, etc., but sometimes it's fun just to get back to simple stamping. Stamps, ink and paper. That's just what I've done for this card.

Cardstock/Paper Measurements

  • Thick Basic White cardstock (5-1/2"x 8-1/2", scored and folded at 4-1/4")
  • Hello, Irresistable DSP (4-1/4" x 5-1/2")
  • Basic White cardstock (3" x 3-1/2", scrap)
  • Mint Macaron cardstock (3-1/8" x 3-5/8")
  • Masking paper (scrap large enough for most of the bunny)

Directions
  1. Stamp bunny in Memento Tuxedo Black pad onto the right side (near bottom) of the Basic White layer. Stamp again on the masking paper.
  2. Cut bunny out from masking paper, remove backing and apply mask to bunny. I like to detack it a bit with my fingers first.
  3. Color bunny using Smoky Slate and Petal Pink Blends.
  4. Stamp grass image in Memento Tuxedo Black pad along the bottom of the Basic White layer. Carefully remove mask and color in the grass with Soft Sea Foam Blends.
  5. Stamp eggs in Memento Tuxedo Black pad on scrap Basic White. Color with assorted Blends and cut out. Adhere to bunny layer using glue.
  6. Stamp butterfly image in Memento Tuxedo Black pad and color with Blends.
  7. Adhere bunny layer to Mint Macaron layer on an angle.
  8. Stamp greeting in Mint Macaron pad in the lower portion of the DSP.
  9. Adhere DSP to Thick White card base, then add the bunny/Mint Macaron layer.
  10. Stamp/Decorate inside and envelope as desired.
