I Can't Mask My Excitement
I decided to break out my Artistic Mix Decorative Masks last night. I've had them for many months, but between the holidays and SALE-a-bration, I just didn't get to them. At just $10, this set of masks is a fantastic value!
Paper Measurements
- Orchid Oasis card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half and folded at 4-1/4")
- Basic White cardstock (3-3/4" x 5-1/2", scraps for flower and leaves, 4" x 5-14/" for inside)
- Basic Black layer (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
- Parakeet Party (5/8" x 3-1/2")
Directions
- Secure Basic White layer to surface and secure first mask on top.
- Add Orchid Oasis ink with blending brush centrally in a strip running from near the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Brushed ink should be lighter near edges of strip and does not need to be "neat."
- Add second mask (can remove first or not, doesn't matter) over the first, lining it up so that the design fits inside the first design. Secure mask in place.
- Brush Starry Sky ink with blending brush as before.
- Peak underneath mask to determine if you need to continue.
- Adhere layer to Basic Black layer with glue or Seal, then to Orchid Oasis card base with dimensionals.
- Stamp large flower and both sets of leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black on scrap Basic White.
- Use a blending brush to add Parakeet Party ink to center of flower and to both sets of leaves.
- Use a blending brush to add Starry Sky ink to the inner radius of the flower (not center).
- Use a blending brush to Orchid Oasis ink to the outer radius of the flower.
- Die cut flower and leaves.
- Add flower to card with dimensionals, then arrange and adhere leaves with glue, as desired.
- Stamp sentiment on Parakeet Party strip and adhere to card front, tucking one end under the flower.
- Add Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels.
- Using the first mask and Orchid Oasis ink, add design lightly to the remaining Basic White layer and then adhere to inside of card.
- Add decoration to the envelope in the same way.
