Night Owl, Book Owl?

Image
Winter in Maine. Aside from the beauty of fresh snow, winter is great for stamping and reading! Yes, there are some fun outdoor activities also, but you can't deny the fun of staying in your pajamas all day, stamping and reading...and napping. Surely I'm not alone in thinking that! Assuming I'm not, here's a quick project that let's you enjoy two out of those three things: a cute magnetic bookmark. Special thanks to fellow demonstrator Deb Joy Smeak for the great idea! Cardstock/Paper Measurements Thick Basic White (2-1/2" x 8") Basic White (scrap for owl) Dandy Designs DSP (2-1/2" x 4") Directions Score and fold the Thick Basic White piece in half at 4". Place the middle-sized rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours Dies so that one end of the die extends beyond the fold. Die cut. Die cut the DSP using the same rectangular die (do not fold the DSP). Cut the DSP in half (parallel to short side). Stamp owl in Memento Tuxedo Black and color...

I forgot to create a blog post for last Friday's Live...sorry about that! How could I ever have forgotten to chronicle how to make this adorable little guy? Luv Ya, my little pop-out slider card!

Image
My online classes this week are focusing on Fun Folds and this card falls into that category. I received a pop-out slider card from my friend and teammate, Julie. She had showed me a different pop-out slider when I dropped by her house last week and I commented on how cool it was. She told me she had seen it on fellow demonstrator Sue Campfield's channel. So, of course I had to look it up when I got home. I knew I'd share it with you at some point. And THEN today I received a pop-out slider card from Julie...so I figured now was a good time to create a video to share it with all of you. Paper Measurements (full list of supplies at the bottom of post) Sweet Sorbet card base (4-1/4" x 11", scored and folded in half at 5-1/2") Sweet Sorbet cardstock pieces (1-1/2" x 9-3/4", 2" x 5-1/4", scrap) Basic White cardstock (3-7/8" x 5-1/8", 2-5/8" x 3-7/8", scrap) Basic Black cardstock (4" x 5-1/4", 2-3/4" x 4, 2"...

In Love with Fun Folds

Image
Ever like to try something different? All this month, I'm going to be featuring Fun Folds in my Tune in Tuesday online classes. I'll show you how to create "shoebox templates" for the fun folds so that you can have them as a ready reference when you're searching for that something different/special. The card I chose to "tease" this series features the Rain or Shine 12" x 12" DSP. It's so much fun with the special coating on various parts of the image. And here it is "open": Paper needed (with measurements): Flirty Flamingo card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 1-1/4" and 4-1/4" on the long side) Flirty Flamingo (scrap...for circle behind the focal image) Rain or Shine DSP (two 1" x 5-1/2", two 2-3/4" x 5-1/4", character from one of the sheets) Basic White layer (2-3/4" x 5-1/4") Directions On the long side of your card base, score at 1-1/4" and 4-1/4". Fold the card in h...
