Wow...this almost feels like I'm looking at a Batman commercial!
I grew up in the 70s watching Batman on TV. Remember the exclamations that popped up on the screen? Pow! Oof! Bam! That's what immediately springs to mind when I look at this card that I CASEd from the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog.
Measurements (full list of supplies at the bottom of post)
- Thick Basic White card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
- Basic Black cardstock (4-1/2" x 3-1/4", scrap)
- Basic White cardstock (4-1/2" x 3-1/4")
Directions
Note: I used a Stamparatus, but you don't have to if you apply the inks together on the stamp. The directions below are for the method I used.
- Mount the Rays of Light background stamp on your Stamparatus plate.
- Determine placement of your Basic White layer. I use registration marks that I draw in on the grid sheet underneath so that I'll be able to place the layer back if it moves. You could also use a little adhesive that has been "detacked" a bit by your fingers to hold it in place.
- Ink stamp with Daffodil Delight ink and stamp onto layer.
- Add Pumpkin Pie ink to the outer two-thirds of the sun burst using a Blending Brush. Stamp onto layer again.
- Adhere sunburst layer to Basic Black layer so that the two layers are slightly askew. Adhere both layers to card base.
- Stamp "Wow" image from Conversation Bubbles onto Basic Black cardstock using Versamark.
- Add white embossing powder, remove excess, then heat emboss.
- Die cut using the coordinating die. Adhere to card front using dimensionals
