Simple Beauty Made More Beautiful
I gravitate towards simple, yet beautiful cards. And sometimes I do a little tweak to make the card have a little extra "wow" factor while still keeping it simple. That's the case tonight.
Important Measurements (full list of supplies at the end of this post)
- Evening Evergreen base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
- Basic White layers (3-5/8" x 4-7/8", 3-1/2" x 4-3/4", medium scrap)
- Favored Flowers DSP (3-1/2" x 4-3/4", two 1/2" x 4-3/4", two 1/2" x 31/2")
- Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (approx. 10-11")
Directions
- Run large DSP layer in the Gingham embossing folder through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.
- Adhere DSP to largest Basic White layer using adhesive of choice.
- Adhere these layers to card base using dimensionals.
- Stamp sentiment on Basic White scrap using Evening Evergreen ink, then die cut.
- Add a little Seal adhesive to the card front underneath where the sentiment layer will go. Zigzag the ribbon and press in place on the adhesive.
- Adhere sentiment over the ribbon using dimensionals.
- Add In Color Opal Rounds.
- For the inside layer, adhere DSP strips to outer edges.
- Stamp desired sentiment in Evening Evergreen.
