Simple Beauty Made More Beautiful

I gravitate towards simple, yet beautiful cards. And sometimes I do a little tweak to make the card have a little extra "wow" factor while still keeping it simple. That's the case tonight.

Important Measurements (full list of supplies at the end of this post)

  • Evening Evergreen base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
  • Basic White layers (3-5/8" x 4-7/8", 3-1/2" x 4-3/4", medium scrap)
  • Favored Flowers DSP (3-1/2" x 4-3/4", two 1/2" x 4-3/4", two 1/2" x 31/2")
  • Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (approx. 10-11")

Directions
  1. Run large DSP layer in the Gingham embossing folder through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.
  2. Adhere DSP to largest Basic White layer using adhesive of choice.
  3. Adhere these layers to card base using dimensionals.
  4. Stamp sentiment on Basic White scrap using Evening Evergreen ink, then die cut.
  5. Add a little Seal adhesive to the card front underneath where the sentiment layer will go. Zigzag the ribbon and press in place on the adhesive.
  6. Adhere sentiment over the ribbon using dimensionals.
  7. Add In Color Opal Rounds.
  8. For the inside layer, adhere DSP strips to outer edges.
  9. Stamp desired sentiment in Evening Evergreen.
