Elegant in Blue

I'm closing out 2022 with a Stamp Camp featuring the Framed Florets bundle and the limited time offer of Flitting Florets DSP. It should be lots of fun. As I was having fun playing with the products, I decided I should also feature Framed Florets during my Friday Night Live. And I thought it fitting to feature one of the popular techniques I'd taught in 2022...whitewashing.

Cardstock Measurements (full list of supplies at the bottom of the post)
  • Gray Granite card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 -1/4")
  • Gray Granite layer (7/8" x 3-3/4")
  • Basic White layers (3-7/8" x 5-1/8", 3/4" x 3-3/4", 3-3/4" x 5", scraps for die-cutting)
  • Night of Navy layers (3-3/4" x 5",  scrap for die-cutting)

Directions
  1. Stamp the floral image on Night of Navy scrap using Versamark ink pad, add White embossing powder, shake off excess, then heat.
  2. Using Craft White ink refill, mix with a little water, then paint onto the flower blossoms. Let dry (or dry with the heat tool set on low).
  3. Stamp the floral image in Night of Navy all over the Night of Navy layer. Adhere this layer to the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Basic White layer, then add to card base.
  4. Stamp the leafy branch image in Night of Navy onto Basic White scrap, then die cut that and, at the same time, the leafy/berry die. Trim about 1-1/2" off the bottom of the leafy/berry die cut.
  5. Stamp sentiment on the right side of the Basic White strip using Night of Navy ink.
  6. Adhere sentiment strip to Gray Granite strip, then adhere to the card base.
  7. Arrange the three die cut elements and adhere to card. The floral sentiment will overlap the sentiment strip slightly.
  8. Add three Classic Matte Dots (white).
  9. On the 3-3/4" x 5" Basic White layer, stamp a sentiment and then the floral image in NIght of Navy ink in a lower corner. Adhere to the inside of the card.
  10. Stamp the floral image all over the back flap of the envelope using Night of Navy ink.
