12 Sundays of Christmas - Week 10 (Gnome Candy Bar Slider)
Christmas is getting closer, so the projects will be getting easier and/or easier to adapt to what you might have on hand. Today's project is gnome-inspired, but the concept will work with ANY DSP you have on hand.
Paper/Ribbon Measurements
- Storybook Gnome DSP (6" x 6")
- Night of Navy (medium scrap)
- Basic White (scraps)
- Blushing Bride (small scrap)
- Iridescent Trim (24")
Directions
- Wrap DSP around chocolate bar, using fingers to mold the paper to the bar.
- Apply Tear and Tape to one of the edges that will run vertically with the bar, remove backing and form the wrap. Do not wrap too tightly as the chocolate bar needs to be able to slide up and down easily.
- Remove the chocolate bar and pinch the middle of the top of the wrap together and punch a hole (either 1/8"or 1/4").
- Thread Iridescent Trip through both holes and even up the ends.
- Slide chocolate bar into the wrap and push down. The ends of the trim should go down with it and remain even. Tie in a bow once in place and trim ends as desired.
- Die cut the gnomes hat and pants from Night of Navy, the beard from Basic White and the nose from Blushing Bride.
- Adhere hat to beard with a little glue, then adhere the pants behind the beard with a little glue. Adhere the nose with a mini dimensional.
- Use mini (or regular) dimensionals to adhere gnome to wrap.
- Stamp greeting in Night of Navy ink onto small Basic White scrap, trim and adhere to wrap.
