Elegant in Blue

I'm closing out 2022 with a Stamp Camp featuring the Framed Florets bundle and the limited time offer of Flitting Florets DSP. It should be lots of fun. As I was having fun playing with the products, I decided I should also feature Framed Florets during my Friday Night Live. And I thought it fitting to feature one of the popular techniques I'd taught in 2022...whitewashing. Cardstock Measurements (full list of supplies at the bottom of the post) Gray Granite card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 -1/4") Gray Granite layer (7/8" x 3-3/4") Basic White layers (3-7/8" x 5-1/8", 3/4" x 3-3/4", 3-3/4" x 5", scraps for die-cutting) Night of Navy layers (3-3/4" x 5",  scrap for die-cutting) Directions Stamp the floral image on Night of Navy scrap using Versamark ink pad, add White embossing powder, shake off excess, then heat.  Using Craft White ink refill, mix with a little water, then paint onto the...

12 Sundays of Christmas - #12 (Gift Bag)

Image
On the 12th Sunday of Christmas, Sharon shared with me...a gift bag! Yes, we've arrived at the last Sunday of the Twelve Sundays of Christmas series. I hope you've found some ideas to use this Christmas season and beyond. Remember, change up the stamps and you can make these items for any occasion! Paper/Ribbon Measurements (2) sheets of 12" x 12" DSP (must be same pattern) Basic White cardstock (scrap) scrap of coordinating DSP Real Red ribbon (two 15" lengths) Directions Begin with DSP in the orientation you'd like it (for instance, if it is a directional pattern, you should have the top of the pattern at the top). Rotate the DSP left a quarter turn and score at 2". Score at 3" on the remaining three sides. Repeat Steps 1-3 with the second sheet of DSP. Burnish all score lines. With the top of ONE of the DSPs at the top of your work surface,  remove both corners along the bottom by cutting along the score lines.  Working with the second sheet, ONL...

Finishing up MY Christmas Cards

Image
I heard the other day that the last mailing day to ensure delivery for Christmas, even for Christmas cards, is tomorrow. Yikes. I've mailed out a total of five so far, I think. Out of 100 or so. Cardstock Measurements (complete list of supplies at the bottom of this post) Thick Basic White card base (5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded in half at 4 1/4") Basic White cardstock (4" x 5 1/4", scrap) Shaded Spruce cardstock (scrap) Directions Use the Merry Melody embossing folder to emboss the Basic White layer. Adhere to the Thick Basic White card base. Stamp "Christmas Wishes" in Real Red ink onto Basic White scrap. Die cut using the frame with the holly leaves. Die cut the background of the leaves in Shaded Spruce at the same time. Apply dimensionals to the back of the sentiment frame, then add to the front of the card. Add groups of three red rhinestones at the base of each leaf. Stamp desired sentiment in Real Red ink inside, then stamp the berrie...

Using your paper trimmer, cut the top right diagonal off the last square of the Crumb Cake cardstock. Add Tear & Tape along the bottom of the resulting (attached) triangle, remove backing, and fold in toward the center. This should give you a pocket for the tea bag. Stamp wreath onto one of the Basic White squares in Evening Evergeen ink, then add pine needle images over the top, also in Evening Evergreen ink. Adhere to one of the Evening Evergreen squares. On the other Basic White square, stamp t...
