12 Sundays of Christmas - Week 1

On the first Sunday of Christmas, my demo shared with me... a Wreaths of Christmas treat pouch!

Measurements (detailed list of supplies at the bottom of this post)

  • Boughs of Holly DSP (7-1/2" x 6", with design right side up in landscape format)
  • Shimmery White cardstock (at least 2-3/4" square scrap)
  • Real Red cardstock (small scrap)

Directions
  1. Score perpendicularly to the long edge at 2-1/4" and 5-3/4".
  2. Rotate right 90 degrees (quarter turn) and score at 1/2".
  3. On the opposite end of the DSP, score at the 1/2" mark between the 2-1/4" and 5-3/4" score lines.
  4. Trim away the section formed between the score lines in Step 3 and miter from the cut piece to the top (see diagram).
  5. On the opposite end (the one scored all the way across at 1/2", cut the two outside rectangles off and miter the flap that remains  (see diagram).
  6. Apply adhesive  to the long edge of the smallest rectangle. Fold both edges toward the center so that the flap with the adhesive adheres to the flap without.
  7. Stamp the leafy wreath in Evening Evergreen onto the Shimmery White scrap.
  8. Die cut a bow from the Real Red scrap at the same time you die cut the leafy wreath.
  9. Adhere wreath to the front of the pouch using dimensionals.
  10. Adhere bow to the wreath using a glue dot.
  11. Add red rhinestones as desired. I like clusters of three.
