Christmas is coming! Create a beautiful Christmas floral spray on paper.

This card is sooooo me. I love white on white. And I love vibrant colors on white. And the Christmas Banners bundle makes it so easy to build a beautiful floral spray to go under a banner greeting. Cardstock Measurements Thick Basic White (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4") Basic White layer (4" x 5-1/4") Basic White scrap (at least 1-1/2" x 5") Directions Take the banner die and lay it where you want to banner to go on your card. Lightly trace the inside of the banner die with a pencil. This will give you a guideline where to anchor your images. Beginning with the largest greenery, stamp it 4-5 times around your banner markers using Garden Green ink. Vary the angles somewhat, but try to keep the design balanced. Take the next largest leafy image and stamp it 4-5 times using Old Olive ink. Stamp the 4-5 fir sprigs using Garden Green ink. Stamp the stem for the berries 4-5 times using Soft Suede ink. Stamp the berries (lined up with...

Did you tune in Tuesday?

This past Tuesday, I held my first free online card (and sometimes more) class. I'll be doing this every second and fourth Tuesday. These classes will be prerecorded (at least for now) so as to minimize my chances of not having everything for 3-4 projects at my fingertips. Each Sunday, I will send an email out to those on my contact list with a sneak peak of the projects I'll be making. Not on my email list? Let's remedy that! Click here to sign up . Anyone new to my list will receive a free One Sheet Wonder template and tutorial from me automatically. This first class featured three cards and a little tote (well, the tote was from last week's 12 Sundays of Christmas).  Images © Stampin' Up! In case you missed it, here's the video tutorial. FREE CARD KIT Anyone placing an order of $35 or more between now and Sunday, October 30th will receive a FREE card kit from me in the mail. It will contain the paper (including die cuts and embossed images) necessary to re...

12 Sundays of Christmas - Week 04

Image
On the 4th Sunday of Christmas, my demo shared with me...an adorable bag in a box. Or at least that's what I've seen it called before. Shout out goes to fellow demonstrator Cathryn, from In the Pink Designs, for this project. She calls it a wrap-around box. You'll see why shortly. Consumable Supplies/Measurements (full list of supplies at the bottom of this post) Real Red cardstock (4" x 2-1/2") Base DSP (9-1/2" x 3-1/2") Basic Black cardstock (large scrap) B&W DSP (large scrap) Basic White cardstock (medium scrap) Iridescent Trim (about 12") Directions Score Real Red cardstock at 1/2" on all four sides. Burnish all score lines. Cut the score lines on the long edges just up to the horizontal score line. Do this on both long edges. Miter the small flaps. The result should look like the diagram below.  Apply glue to the flaps and fold in, forming a box. Apply Tear & Tape to one long edge and one short edge of the base DSP (9-1/2" x ...

Nuts about Nuts and Candy Corn!

Image
I've heard for a couple of years now that candy corn with peanuts is yummy. As I was thinking of a nice treat to offer during a special meeting I have beginning tonight, I looked at the nearly empty bag of candy corn on my desk and the Nuts About Squirrels set that I wanted to use one last time before turning totally to Christmas projects, and I decided to give it a try. YUM-O! Note: I used retired Cello Bags. They measure 4" x 6". Stampin' Up! now carries them in 6" x 8". More space to fill with yumminess! Consumable Measurements (full list of supplies at the bottom of this post) Cajun Craze (4-1/2"x 5", scored in half at 2-1/2") Basic White scrap Crumb Cake (1" x 1-1/2") Rustic Harvest DSP (2-1/4" x 4") Linen Thread (about 14") Directions Stamp squirrel outline in Early Espresso ink on Basic White scrap.
