Beautiful Aspen Leaves for a Beautiful Fall Night
I love the cooler nights that follow beautiful fall days, but mostly I love the colors of fall. And this VERY quick card totally captures what I love.
- Early Espresso card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4")
- Very Vanilla layers ( two 4" x 5-1/4", 1" x 3")
- Cajun Craze scrap
- Copper Foil scrap
- Linen Thread (about 14")
Directions
- Die cut the trees from the Very Vanilla layer (you use the negative, so align it well on one of the 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla pieces.
- Die cut the large leaf from the Cajun Craze and the small leaf from the Copper Foil.
- Stamp greeting on the 1" x 3" Very Vanilla layer using Cajun Craze ink.
- Adhere the trees layer to the card base using dimensionals, taking care to pop up the backs of some of the trees as well.
- Adhere the sentiment layer to the trees layer so that the right edges align.
- Adhere the leaves as shown.
- Double up the linen thread and tie a bow. Trim ends and attach to the leaf bases with a glue dot.
- On the inside of the card, die cut a scalloped rectangle from the remaining Very Vanilla layer and a small leaf from the Copper Foil scrap and adhere to the inside.
- Not shown on video because I forgot: Adhere three coper dots from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.
