Beautiful Aspen Leaves for a Beautiful Fall Night

I love the cooler nights that follow beautiful fall days, but mostly I love the colors of fall. And this VERY quick card totally captures what I love.

Measurements (complete supply list at the bottom of this post)
  • Early Espresso card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4")
  • Very Vanilla layers ( two 4" x 5-1/4", 1" x 3")
  • Cajun Craze scrap
  • Copper Foil scrap
  • Linen Thread (about 14")

Directions
  1. Die cut the trees from the Very Vanilla layer (you use the negative, so align it well on one of the 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla pieces.
  2. Die cut the large leaf from the Cajun Craze and the small leaf from the Copper Foil.
  3. Stamp greeting on the 1" x 3" Very Vanilla layer using Cajun Craze ink.
  4. Adhere the trees layer to the card base using dimensionals, taking care to pop up the backs of some of the trees as well.
  5. Adhere the sentiment layer to the trees layer so that the right edges align.
  6. Adhere the leaves as shown.
  7. Double up the linen thread and tie a bow. Trim ends and attach to the leaf bases with a glue dot.
  8. On the inside of the card, die cut a scalloped rectangle from the remaining Very Vanilla layer and a small leaf from the Copper Foil scrap and adhere to the inside.
  9.  Not shown on video because I forgot: Adhere three coper dots from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.
