Spidery Wreath Halloween Card

Image
I'm not a big fan of spiders, but I'm a HUGE fan of the Cottage Wreaths bundle. I've already made many Christmas cards and fall cards with it and, for this video, I am creating a Halloween card. The measurements below are for the end result. I began with a larger piece of Very Vanilla but made a boo boo (no pun intended) and had to cut it down. I like the end product better! Measurements Pumpkin Pie card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded at 4-1/4") Basic Black cardstock (3-1/8" x 4-1/2") Very Vanilla cardstock (3" x 4-3/8", 3-3/4" x 5", scrap) Directions Begin by stamping the leafy wreath in Pumpkin Pie ink onto the 3-1/8" x 4-1/2" Very Vanilla layer. Stamp the twiggy wreath over the top using Tuxedo Black ink. On the scrap piece of Very Vanilla, stamp the spider using Tuxedo Black ink. Die cut the spider and, at the same time, die cut the detailed bow from the center of the Basic Black layer. Stamp "Boo!...

It's easy to overlook one of the best resources at a Stampin' Up! customer's fingertips...the catalog! The following card is largely a direct copy of a card on page 48 of the July-Dec 2022 mini catalog. Measurements (complete list of supplies can be found at the bottom of this post) Merry Merlot card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4") Merry Merlot layer (4" x 5-1/4") Basic White layer (4" x 5-1/4") Rustic Harvest DSP (3" x 5-1/4" for main layer, and 1" x 3" and 3/4" x 5-1/4" for coordinated pieces) Natural Woven Ribbon (about 4-1/2") Directions Emboss Merry Merlot layer using the Painted Texture embossing folder. Adhere to card front. Trim off the very edge of one side of the ribbon so that you can then remove some fibers, giving a frayed edge look. Adhere ribbon to the left edge of the main DSP panel (best to apply adhesive to the edge of the DSP). Adhere this panel to the card ...

Let's Make an Easel Card for Fall!

Image
Here's a quick and easy fun fold that's sure to impress...an easel card. This card displays itself! It starts as what looks like a regular card. But when you open it, it creates it's own stand, revealing not only the front, but a portion of the inside. Here's what it looks like from the side. Measurements (complete list of supplies found at the bottom of this post) Thick Basic White card base (4-1/4" x 11", scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2") DSP (4" x 6" portrait for main layer, 1-7/8" x 4" for inside layer) Basic White cardstock (3/4" x 3.5") Directions Begin by trimming 3/4" from the bottom of the 4" x 6" DSP. Set aside the 3/4" strip for use later. Fold the card base in half and burnish, then fold (in the same direction) the lower portion of the card front along the 2-3/4" score line and burnish. Lay card front flat again. Adhere the bottom half of the front DSP layer to the card front. Do not allo...
