Sing a Sweet Song
The Sweet Songbirds stamp set is adorable and makes some really great cards with little effort. And the bundle (stamp set and punch) is such a great value!
- Orchid Oasis card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2")
- Orchid Oasis DSP (4" x 5-1/4")
- Basic White layer (2-3/4" x 5-1/4", two medium scraps)
Directions
- Take the Orchid Oasis card base and score it at 4-1/4" and 7-1/4". Fold the card in half and then fold the small end in the opposite direction of the first fold.
- Cut the Orchid Oasis DSP in half at 2" and then cut one of the pieces in half again at 1".
- Adhere the 2" DSP to the top of the card front. Glue the small fold down to the top of the card.
- Adhere one of the 1" pieces of DSP to the glued-down strip, with the opposite side of the DSP showing.
- Adhere the remaining 1" piece of DSP to the bottom of the card (shows even when card is open).
- Die cut large circle (either 2-3/4" o4 3") circle from one of the Basic White scraps.
- Stamp branch in Soft Suede ink on the circle, add leaves in Parakeet Party ink, and bird feet in Tuxedo Black ink.
- Stamp the large bird on remaining Basic White scrap in Orchid Oasis ink. Add the beak in Pumpkin Pie ink and eyes in Tuxedo Black ink. Punch out and add dimensionals on the back.
- Determine where music notes should go and stamp in Tuxedo Black ink.
- Adhere bird onto circle.

- Stamp sentiment in the middle strip using Tuxedo Black ink.
- Stamp inside sentiment, music notes, etc. as desired on the Basic White layer and adhere to the inside of the card.
