Shake Up Some Cheer!
When I saw the Bottle Happiness set in the new Stampin' Up! catalog, I knew I had to have it. For as long as I could remember, my father collected little bottles. So many bottles. They lined the tops of the cabinets, sat on shelves, became little flower holders, etc. My father passed away about five years ago, so this memory is all that more special. Having this set (and coordinating punch) connects me to my past.
- Sweet Sorbet card (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4")
- Sweet Sorbet layer (3" x 4-1/4")
- Basic White layers (two 3-1/4" x 4-1/2", 5/8" x 1")
- Pretty Prints DSP (two 1" x 3-1/4")
- Ribbon (8-9")
Directions
- Stamp the floral images (the flowers in Petal Pink and the leaves I Sweet Sorbet) at the top of one of the Basic White pieces. You may want to do Steps 2 and 3 first in order to ensure your bottle ends up where you want it...centered.
- Layer each of the DSP strips at the bottom of the Basic White layers.
- Take the stamped Basic White layer and insert into Vintage Bottle punch and punch.
- Remove the backing from the top (rounded side) of the Vintage Bottle Shaker Dome and lay punched Basic White layer on top so that the dome comes through the hole. Press around the punch openings to secure.
- Turn Basic White/dome piece over and carefully add Effervescent Elements inside. Do not overfill. When you think you have about one layer of beads from top to bottom, that's probably good. You should still see space to the edge of the dome.
- Remove the adhesive backing on the dome and lay Sweet Sorbet layer on top. Press around the edge of the bottle to secure. You may want to add some basic adhesive to the non-bottle end of the Basic White piece to make sure the opposite end is secure.
- Adhere shaker layer to the card base.
- Adhere remaining Basic White/DSP layer to the inside of the card.
- Stamp "Sending Cheer" in Sweet Sorbet on the 5/8" x 1" Basic White piece and adhere to bouquet with a dimensional.
