Somewhere Over the Rainbow

St. Patrick's Day is coming up, so I decided to put my Rainbow of Happiness Bundle to good use. This isn't a St. Patrick's Day-specific card, I simply was inspired by iconic St. Patrick's Day images.

Measurements

  • Thick Basic White Card (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4")
  • Basic White layers (4" x 5-1/4", 1" x 4", small scrap)
  • Basic Black scrap (at least 1-1/2" square)
  • Gold foil scrap
  • White Baker's Twine (about 5")

Directions
  1. On large Basic White layer, stamp the rainbow using Melon Mambo, Mango Medley, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay. You can stamp largest to smallest or the other way, but make sure the top of your rainbow will be about 1" from the top of the layer.
  2. Die cut the the rainbow border from the long Basic White piece, a 1-1/2" circle from the Basic Black, three clouds from the Basic White scraps and two clouds from the Gold Foil. You should be able to do all this in two passes - one pass if you only cut two Basic White clouds.
  3. Adhere long rainbow border to the base of the Basic White layer using Liquid Glue.
  4. Snip a straight piece off the circle, then a smaller piece parallel to and opposite that one to create the pot. Add dimensionals to the back and adhere to the bottom right of the stamped rainbow.
  5. Use Liquid Glue to adhere the two Gold Foil clouds so that they appear to be overflowing gold from the pot.
  6. Adhere two of the three clouds on the other side of the rainbow with Liquid Glue and one using a dimensional.
  7. Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black underneath the rainbow image.
  8. Add a bow from the white twine to the pot using a mini glue dot (or Liquid Glue).
  9. Add three silver epoxy teardrops to card as desired.
  10. Stamp the inside as desired, adding more rainbows or some of the other images from the set.
