Nothing's Better Than a Decorative Mask!
On tonight's Friday Night Live, I showed how to create a beautiful filigree background using a decorative mask, an ink pad and a blending brush.
Measurements
- Magenta Madness card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4")
- Magenta Madness layer (4" x 5-1/4")
- Basic White layers (4" x 5-1/4", large scrap or several smaller scraps)
Directions
- Add the filigree background to the Magenta Madness layer using the filigree mask, Magenta Madness ink and a blending brush. Adhere to the front of the card base.
- Using a sheet of copy paper or a grid sheet, mask off all but 3/4" - 1" of the righthand side of the Basic White layer that measures 4" x 5-1/4"), then add the filigree background as you did in Step 1. Adhere to the inside of the card.
- Protecting all but the flap of the envelope, add filigree to the flap using the method in Steps 1 and 2.
- Stamp the solid chocolate image in Cinnamon Cider 3-4 times on the Basic White scrap, then stamp on top using the chocolate detail and Early Espresso ink. Die cut.
- Adhere a size of Adhesive Sheet to the back of a Basic White scrap that will fit the "Love You More Than" die. Die cut.
- Peel off adhesive backing and adhere words as desired to the front of the card.
- Adhere 2-3 of the die cuts with the chocolates to the front of the card, then add the last one with dimensionals.
- Stamp if/as desired on the inside of the card.
Here's the edited video of the Friday Night Live where this card was created.
