2 for 1 Daffodils

As Sale-A-Bration winds down, I wanted to share with you a couple cards I created after a retreat I attended. They use the Daffodil Afternoon DSP from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Measurements
  • Basic Black (8-1/2" x 11")
  • Flirty Flamingo layers (2-3/8" x 3-3/4", 3-7/8" x 5-1/4", scrap)
  • Very Vanilla layers (2-1/2" x 4", two 2-1/2" x 3-3/4", scrap)
  • Pale Papaya (small scrap)
  • Daffodil Afternoon DSP (4-1/4" x 5-1/2" of main design, three coordinating layers 4" x 5-1/4")

Directions
  1. Take the Basic Black sheet of cardstock and score in half at 4-1/4", then cut in half the other way at 5-1/2".
  2. Using the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" main design DSP, die cut using the largest stitched rectangle and the fourth smallest stitched rectangle. You can either nest them and cut them at the same time, or you can send them through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine separately.
  3. Stamp a butterfly in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Pale Papaya and Flirty Flamingo Blends (or stamp in StazOn and color using a blender pen and Pale Papaya and Flirty Flamingo ink pads). Die cut.
  4. Stamp a sentiment in the upper half of the 2-1/2" x 4" Very Vanilla layer using Flirty Flamingo, then layer behind the frame. Mount onto Flirty Flamingo 3-7/8" x 5-1/4" layer, then onto Basic Black card.
  5. Adhere stamped butterfly, smaller butterflies die cut from Pale Papaya and Flirty Flamingo scraps, and a couple Brushed Brass Butterflies.
  6. For the other card, layer the die cut rectangle onto the 2-3/8" x -3/4" Flirty Flamingo layer. Adhere to coordinating design of DSP and then onto Basic Black card.
  7. Stamp a sentiment onto Very Vanilla scrap, then die cut or punch out and adhere to card front using dimensionals.
  8. Add Brushed Brass Butterflies.
  9. For the insides of each card, stamp a sentiment on the Very Vanilla layer, layer onto coordinating DSP and adhere to the card.
  10. Decorate envelopes with DSP as desired.
