Sweet Talk Corner Bookmark
Do you love to read or do you know someone who does? Or maybe you want to have your kids or grandkids give their classmates a special Valentine to their classmates (you could tuck a piece of candy in it, too!). This corner bookmark is sweet and easy to make.
Here's the template we'll be using to tell us where to score and cut:
Measurements
- Heather Highland cardstock (3-1/2" x 6")
- Sweet Talk DSP (2-3/4" x 2-3/4")
- Basic White scrap (small)
Directions
- With the short side of the Heather Highland piece against the bottom (or top) of your cutter, score at 1/2".
- Rotate cardstock and score at the 3" mark.
- Cut away the 1/2" x 3" rectangle shown in the diagram above, then mitre the remaining 1/2" rectangle, as shown.
- Cut from the bottom corner connected to the tab to the place where the middle score line and opposite edge of cardstock meet. You can do this with your paper trimmer (best results) or by hand.
- Fold on score lines and use bone folder to make crisp folds, ensuring that everything lines up properly.
- Stamp the different solid heart images randomly on the portions of the Highland Heather cardstock that will show once the bookmark is put together (or just stamp all over on both sides)
- Cut the DSP on the diagonal. You'll only need one half for the project. Take care when cutting to determine best diagonal to cut on with respect to image. DSP that has a specific direction to it is difficult on this project.
- Stamp Text Me heart in Gorgeous Grape on the Basic White scrap.
- Stamp the solid heart in Highland Heather on top of the previously-stamped heart.
- Die cut using Sweet Heart Dies.
- Apply Tear & Tape to the tab, near the score line, remove backing and form pouch.
- Adhere DSP to the flap.
- Adhere the die cut heart to the corner bookmark using Tear & Tape or Tombow Liquid Glue.
