Graffitied Thanks
Sometimes you stumble across a project that is just too good NOT to share! This is one of them. It's so unique and the colors just pop. This card was inspired by Stampin' Up! employee (and fellow demo) Shannon West.
Measurements
- Basic White Note card and envelope
- Basic White layer (3-1/2" x 5")
- Basic White scrap (large enough for "thanks")
- Basic Black scrap (large enough for "thanks")
- Emboss the Basic White layer using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder.
- Add enough isopropyl alcohol (90% of greater for best results) to a Stampin' Spritzer. For this, filling to the bottom of the SU logo will be enough. Add 8-10 drops of Bermuda Bay reinker. Shake to mix.
- Holding your embossed white layer at a slight angle and protecting the area around it from splatter, spritz several times so that it begins to drip. Lay flat and let dry. You can speed drying with a heat tool.
- Die cut the detailed "thanks" from Basic White and the outline "thanks" from Basic Black cardstock.
- Apply Dark Daffodil Delight Blend to the upper half of the Basic White "thanks", then add Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend to the middle portion, then add Dark Melon Mambo to the lower portion. Where two colors meet, use the lighter of the two Blends to blend the colors together.
- Glue the colorful "thanks" to the Basic Black "thanks" outline.
- Once brick background is dry, adhere to note card. Add layered "thanks" to card front using mini dimensionals.
- Add jewels as desired.
