'Tis the Season

This week's Friday Night Live wasn't originally intended to be Christmas-themed, but when my new Christmas Season stamp set arrived, I just couldn't help myself!

I had seen Angela Meyer's card about six weeks earlier and decided I had to recreate it. And I vowed to myself that I was going to start decorating my envelopes more (as well as card insides) during my Friday Night Lives. I added a tag for this one just to complete the coordination for Christmas gift-giving.

Measurements

  • Thick Very Vanilla card base (8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored in half at the 4-1/4" mark and folded)
  • Thick Very Vanilla piece for tag (2" x 4-1/4")
  • Elegant Trim (two pieces about 8" each. one for the card and one for the tag)
  • Cherry Cobbler and Gold Ribbon (about 4")

Directions
  1. Stamp pine bows (both the double stamp and the single) in Evening Evergreen ink onto the left edge of the Very Vanilla.
  2. Add the long leafy sprig image in Soft Sea Foam onto the left edge of the Very Vanilla.
  3. Add the twig for the berries in Early Espresso as desired.
  4. Add the berries in Cherry Cobbler. You can add some that aren't attached to a branch to fill as needed.
  5. Stamp as in Steps 1-4 onto the bottom of the tag and the flap of the envelope as desired. You'll want to mask the front of the envelope prior to stamping.
  6. Stamp "Merry Christmas" in Cherry Cobbler on the front of the card.
  7. Add Wonderful Gems as desired (in odd numbers).
  8. Add a bow made with a piece of Elegant Trim to the left of the sentiment using a Glue Dot or other preferred adhesive.
  9. Stamp desired sentiment from Christmas to Remember stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on the inside of the card.
  10. Stamp images on the inside of the card as desired (I used the Soft Sea Foam leafy image and the Berries in Cherry Cobbler).
  11. Stamp the "Merry" from the Merry Christmas stamp onto the tag, clean stamp thoroughly, then stamp the "Christmas" below it, using Cherry Cobbler ink.
  12. Use a tag punch at the top of the tag piece and add Elegant Trim and Cherry Cobbler & Gold ribbon.
