Vintage Christmas

Sometimes, all you need is a good sentiment set. And at this time of year, Christmas to Remember is just that. Christmas-y colors, some Christmas-y embellishments and you can turn a non-Christmas set (like Forever Fern) into a a Christmas set.



Measurements (a full supply list and video tutorial can be found below)

  • Evening Evergreen card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4", scrap)
  • Very Vanilla layers (two measuring 4" x 5-1/4", scraps)
  • Cherry Cobbler and Gold Shimmer Ribbon (12")

Directions
  1. Emboss one of the 4" x 5-1/4" layers with the Merry Melody folder.
  2. Using a blending brush, add Soft Suede ink over the top of the embossed layer. Wrinkle and crinkle layer a bit to make it look older.
  3. Stamp sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a piece of scrap Very Vanilla and punch out using Label Me Lovely punch. Add a little Soft Suede to this layer, if desired, so it blends with music layer better.
  4. Stamp eucalyptus image in Cherry Cobbler on another Very Vanilla scrap, and also in the lower corner of the remaining 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla layer (inside layer).
  5. Stamp another sentiment in Evening Evergreen on the inside layer and adhere to the inside of the card.
  6. Die cut the large leafy image from Evening Evergreen cardstock, as well as the eucalyptus piece.
  7. Wrap ribbon around the lower half of the embossed layer and tie in a knot on the right side of the card.
  8. Determine positioning to Evening Evergreen leaves and eucalyptus die cut and adhere to card. 
  9. Adhere the sentiment to the front of the card using dimensionals.
  10. Adhere three gold holly leaves peeking out from behind sentiment layer.
