Four Step Cards - a Template for Anyone

Whether you are a beginner or avid stamper, the concept of the Four Step Card is a great one because it allows you to create pretty cards with limited supplies. It's also a great way to use up those DSP scraps!

Each of the three cards above uses the four basic elements: card base, Designer Series Paper, sentiment and embellishments.

Measurements (a complete list of supplies used to create all three cards, as well as the video tutorial, can be found at the end of this post)
  • Card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4")
  • DSP (3" x 4")
  • Whisper White cardstock (scrap for sentiment and 4" x 5-1/4" for inside)
  • Ribbon (optional, 4-6")
Directions
  1. Cut DSP into four 1" x 3" strips.
  2. Adhere to card base in one of the three formations shown above.
  3. Ink sentiment in either Memento Tuxedo Black or an ink color that coordinates with your DSP.
  4. Punch or die cut sentiment and adhere to card as desired, using dimensionals.
  5. Embellish with gems, ribbon and/or ephemera.

Here's the video tutorial showing how all three cards were created.
