Cotton Candy Winter Sky

Whether the sun is just rising or it's setting, the colors of the sky vary greatly. As much as I love the vibrant oranges, I also really love the "cotton candy" colors. Yesterday, I posted a Color Color Inspiration post on my Facebook page: Misty Moonlight, Pool Party and Fresh Freesia. So, of course, I had to create a card with those colors. And I decided to use one of the gorgeous designs found in the Peaceful Place DSP to create a cotton candy winter sky.

Measurements (complete supply list at the end)
  • Misty Moonlight card base (4-1/4" x 11", scored in half at 5-1/2")
  • Peaceful Place DSP (4-1/4" x 4-3/4")
  • Fresh Freesia layer for inside (4" x 5-1/4")
  • Basic White layer for inside (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
  • Silver Trim (about 26")
Directions
  1. Use a blending brush to apply Fresh Freesia in the middle of the DSP layer.
  2. Use a blending brush to apply Pool Party ink above the Fresh Freesia.
  3. Use a blending brush to apply Misty Moonlight above the Pool Party.
  4. Stamp "merry christmas" in Misty Moonlight in the white area beneath the trees.
  5. Adhere DSP layer to card base.
  6. Wrap silver trim around the card twice and tie in a bow.
  7. Stamp Basic White layer for the inside as desired (or add DSP to it), then adhere to Fresh Freesia layer, then to inside of card.
Here's the video showing you just how quick and easy this card is.
