12th Sunday of Christmas

On the 12th Sunday of Christmas, my demo shared with me...a no-adhesive pouch.

My mom, even into her 80s, loved making these pouches. They can hold chocolate, notes, gift cards and cash. They require very few supplies and stay together without adhesive!

Measurements (video tutorial and full list of supplies are located at the bottom of this post)
  • DSP (6" x 6", although you can use any size that's square)
  • Coordinating DSP or cardstock for embellishing (scraps)
  • Basic White cardstock (scrap)
Directions
  1. Fold one corner of the DSP to meet the opposite corner. Burnish the fold.
  2. Lay the folded piece so the tips you just matched are pointing down.
  3. Fold both of these tips toward the top, so that you are just over 1/2" from the top. Burnish this new fold.
  4. Take one of the other corners and fold across, aligning the edge with the fold line you made in the previous step.
  5. Repeat Step 4 with the other corner.
  6. Fold one of the two flaps down. Open pouch a little so everything stays.
  7. Cut out a snowflake from the DSP and adhere to front flap of pouch with a couple dimensionals.
  8. Stamp "Tis the Season" in Real Red on Basic White scrap and fussy cut out. Adhere over snowflake with mini dimensionals.
  9. (Optional) Press the bottom of the pouch in a bit to create more of a 3D look.
