It Be Dazzling in Many Colors!

The Be Dazzling Specialty Paper that is in the SALE-a-bration brochure is certainly dazzling. It's a chamgpagne-y type color, but you can change that, if you want!

Supplies Needed:
  • Isopropyl alcohol that is at least 90% alcohol (the same strength you need for the alcohol blending technique that I showed earlier this summer)
  • Spritzer bottles (one per ink color)
  • Reinkers of your choice
  • Be Dazzling Specialty Paper

Directions:
  1. Protect your work surface by laying down some chipboard backing from Designer Series Paper packaging or a foil lasagna tin (you can rinse out and reuse).
  2. Fill the spritzer bottle about 3/4 full and add 9-10 drops of reinker. The more you add, the darker the color. Don't go overboard...you can always add more.
  3. Spritz your Be Dazzling paper evenly and let dry. It doesn't take too long due to the concentration of alcohol, but I'd give it at least 5 minutes.
On Friday's Friday Night Live, I WAS going to create this pretty card using strips I'd cut from the spritzed sheets. Instead, I created a different, but even more beautiful card using shapes I had punched (Tailored Tag punch) from my spritzed sheets. I used Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow to combine with the plain Be Dazzling paper to make a fall-colored birthday card.

Additional Supplies Needed for Card:
  • Mossy Meadow card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4")
  • Cajun Craze layer (4" x 5-1/4")
  • Thick Very Vanilla cardstock (3-3/4" x 5")
  • Very Vanilla or Thick Very Vanilla scrap
  • Sentiment stamp of your choice
  • Cajun Craze ink pad
  • Tailored Tag punch
  • Dimensionals
  • Adhesive (I used Tombow liquid glue)
Directions for Creating the Card:
  1. Punch 4-5 pieces of each color of the Be Dazzling paper (original, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow)
  2. Layout punches on 3-3/4" x 5" Very Vanilla piece and adjust as necessary, then adhere.
  3. Stamp sentiment in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla scrap and punch out using Tailored Tag punch.
  4. Trim the pieces of Be Dazzling paper that extends beyond the edges of the Very Vanilla layer.
  5. Mount Very Vanilla layer onto Cajun Craze layer and then onto Mossy Meadow card base.
  6. Adhere sentiment to card using dimensionals.
  7. Adhere Very Vanilla inside layer of card, stamp and embellish as desired.
