Christmas Snowflakes Fun Fold

SALE-a-bration is winding down, which means the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper from the SAB brochure is only available for another week, as long as supplies last. I wanted to showcase one of my favorite papers from that collection AND, at the same time, teach you an easy fun fold. If you missed my Friday Night Video showing how to create this card, you can find it further down in this post.

Measurements (Supplies pictured at the end of the post)

  • Basic Black cardstock (4-1/4" x 11")
  • Basic White cardstock (4" x 4-1/4", scrap that measures at least 2" x 3-1/2")
  • Peaceful Prints DSP (4-1/4" x 4-1/2", 1/2" x 4-1/4")
  • 13" B&W Gingham Ribbon

Directions
  1. Score the Basic Black card base at 5-1/2" and 4-1/2". Fold in half (on the 5-1/2" inch score).
  2. Apply Tear and Tape to the 1" section, one strip on the inside edge of each of the score lines. Remove adhesive backing and fold card in half. You can now open the card by bending and burnishing at the 4-1/2" score mark you made in the last step.
  3. Adhere the large piece of DSP to the front panel of the card.
  4. Tie ribbon in a knot around the bound edge of the card. Trim ends. Adjust as necessary and secure ribbon to card with glue dots.
  5. Add a dimensional to the back of the large snowflake and affix to the center of the DSP panel.
  6. Stamp a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black on the Basic White scrap and die cut using the appropriate die from Tasteful Labels dies.
  7. Apply sentiment to the card using dimensionals on each end.
  8. Add Red Rhinestones to sentiment label as desired.
  9. Stamp a coordinating inside sentiment on the Basic White layer in Real Red ink.
  10. Adhere thin DSP piece to the bottom of the inside layer and adhere it all to the inside of the card.
