1st Sunday of Christmas (2021)
For my first 12 Sundays of Christmas post, I've got a lovely little gift card holder. It's made from one of our ombre bags and couldn't be more simple to put together.
Supplies Needed
- Evergreen Elegance bundle
- Evening Evergreen ombre bag
- Evening Evergreen cardstock (1-1/2" x 5", 3-1/4" x 4-1/2")
- Basic White cardstock (3" x 4-1/4")
- Real Red (or Cherry Cobbler) ink
- Evening Evergreen ink
- 16" Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave ribbon
- 3 Basic Rhinestones
- Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush
Directions
- With the front of the bag down (seam up), fold the bag almost in half so that the jagged edge is about 3/4" from the other edge.
- With the Evergreen border punch, punch twice to make a continuous row of trees.
- Adhere trees to front of bag, just slightly above center.
- Stamp "Merry Christmas" in Real Red (or Cherry Cobbler) ink about 1/2" from the fold.
- Wrap ribbon around folded bag and tie in a knot on the left or the right side.
- Add three rhinestones as desired.
- Apply Wink of Stella to the trees for sparkle.
- On the Basic White cardstock piece, stamp a greeting in Real Red (or Cherry Cobbler) ink in the center and a couple trees in Evening Evergreen in the lower left corner.
- Adhere Basic White layer to Evening Evergreen layer and insert into one of the pockets formed in the bag.
- Add a gift card to the other pocket.
Here's the video for those of you who are visual learners.
