Beautifully Happy at Least Three Ways

Image
I'll admit it...sometimes I like to (well...probably "need" to) knock out a card in a minute. At other times, I'm content to sit and do things that take more time, like coloring or fussy cutting. I'm going to walk you through what makes a card simple and how you can take the same simple concept and step it up. The directions below are for the most involved card above...the center one.  Measurements Thick Basic White Cardstock (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4") Basic White Cardstock (4" x 5-1/4", scrap large enough for flower) Basic Black Cardstock (3/4" x 1-1/2") White Twine (8-9") Directions Emboss the Basic White layer with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder, then adhere it to the card base using dimesionals. Stamp large flower image on Basic White scrap using Memento Tuxedo Black pad. Color image using the blends (colors shown below). Fussy cut. Adhere to card front using dimensionals. Create an ...

Today was a snow day for me here in Maine. I don't have to work on Fridays, although I usually go in. But not today. We got some beautiful snow last night and I just wanted to look out my studio window and stamp ALL DAY. It's been wonderful. Color owls with blends and fussy cut. Die cut trees from Basic White layer. Adhere Tahitian Tide Glimmer Paper to card base, then adhere trees layer using dimensionals. Tuck one owl into the t...

Important Measurements (full list of supplies at the end of this post) Evening Evergreen base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4") Basic White layers (3-5/8" x 4-7/8", 3-1/2" x 4-3/4", medium scrap) Favored Flowers DSP (3-1/2" x 4-3/4", two 1/2" x 4-3/4", two 1/2" x 31/2") Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (approx. 10-11") Directions Run large DSP layer in the Gingham embossing folder through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. Adhere DSP to largest Basic White layer using adhesive of choice. Adhere these layers to card base using dimensionals. Stamp sentiment on Basic White scrap using Evening Evergreen ink, then die cut. Add a little Seal adhesive to the card front underneath where the sentim...
