'Tis the Season

Image
This week's Friday Night Live wasn't originally intended to be Christmas-themed, but when my new Christmas Season stamp set arrived, I just couldn't help myself!  I had seen Angela Meyer's card about six weeks earlier and decided I had to recreate it. And I vowed to myself that I was going to start decorating my envelopes more (as well as card insides) during my Friday Night Lives. I added a tag for this one just to complete the coordination for Christmas gift-giving. Measurements Thick Very Vanilla card base (8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored in half at the 4-1/4" mark and folded) Thick Very Vanilla piece for tag (2" x 4-1/4") Elegant Trim (two pieces about 8" each. one for the card and one for the tag) Cherry Cobbler and Gold Ribbon (about 4") Directions Stamp pine bows (both the double stamp and the single) in Evening Evergreen ink onto the left edge of the Very Vanilla. Add the long leafy sprig image in Soft Sea Foam onto the left edge of th...

Snowy Thanks

On tonight's edition of Friday Night Live, I showed how to create a quick and easy card using a White craft ink pad to stamp on Night of Navy cardstock. I also introduce you to the Kissing Technique. Measurements Night of Navy layer (3-1/4" x 5") Basic White scrap (large enough to punch with the Label Me Lovely punch) Directions Using the White Craft pad, ink the larger of the two multiple snowflakes stamps and stamp on the Night of Navy layer. Repeat until layer is filled. Set aside to dry. You may speed drying with a heat tool, but unless your pad was extremely juicy, it will probably dry by the time you're ready to assemble. Ink "Thanks" in Night of Navy. Using the smaller of the two multiple snowflakes stamps, press image onto inked Thanks. The stamp will lift off the Night of Navy ink. Clean the small snowflakes stamp and then repeat this process until you've done this process over the whole Thanks stamp. Breathe (Huff) on the Thanks stamp to remoi...

A Coastal Christmas

Tonight, I shared how my dog stole a sand dollar/seashell ornament off my tree and ate it. I discovered it as I was beginning to think about what I wanted to do for the week's Facebook Live. And, thus, this card was born. Measurements Thick Basic White Cardstock (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored in half at 4-1/4") Basic White (scrap) Coastal Cabana cardstock (3/4" x 5" strip, scraps) Blushing Bride cardstock (scrap) Crumb Cake (scrap) Linen Thread (at least 12") Directions Stamp boughs in Evening Evergreen on the card front such that one set (of two) boughs are pointing up and two are pointing down, with a gap in the middle. Stamp Merry Christmas in Versamark on Coastal Cabana strip, and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Flag ends. Stamp two small shells in Versamark onto Coastal Cabana scraps and two onto Blushing Bride stamps, then heat emboss with white embossing powder. Cut out each. Stamp starfish in Memento Black onto Crumb Cake cardstock and cut ...
