Sympathetic Leaves

 While not officially fall yet, it's certainly feeling more and more like it. While preparing what to share during Friday Night Live, I realized that I needed a sympathy card for a funeral the next day, so I grabbed my Autumn Leaves set, a couple inks with coordinating paper and a roll of ribbon and came up with this beauty. Cardstock/Ribbon Measurements Crumb Cake card base (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored and folded in half at 4-1/4") Crumb Cake cardstock (scrap for 2" circle punch) Pecan Pie cardstock (3-3/4" x 5") Very Vanilla cardstock (3-1/2" x 4-3/4", 4" x 5-1/4" for inside0 Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon (6-7") Directions Using second generation stamping (stamp off on scrap first, then stamp onto Very Vanilla layer without reinking), stamp maple, oak and dual leaves all over the smaller Very Vanilla layer. Punch 2" circle from Crumb Cake scrap, then stamp the maple leaf using the second generation stamping method with Crumb Cak...

There's Nothing Like Leaves in Autumn

 It's finally starting to feel cooler at night here in Maine. This is one of the many perks of autumn in New England. Another is the beautiful leaves. As soon as I received the beautiful Tartan Foil specialty paper (Online Exclusives), I knew I'd use it to create simple yet beautiful note cards. Measurements (complete list of supplies used at the bottom of this post) Basic White Notecard and Envelope Kraft Notecard and Envelope Tartan Foil specialty papers (scraps) Lost Lagoon cardstock (scrap) Early Espresso cardstock (scrap with Adhesive Sheet on the back) Directions for Card 1 (White notecard) Die cut a maple leaf from each color of  Tartan Foil. Adhere the Lost Lagoon leaf and the Pebbled Path leaf to notecard base using basic adhesive. Add Copper Clay leaf to card front in the center of the other two leaves with a Dimensional. Stamp sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink beneath rightmost leaf. Directions for Card 2 (Kraft notecard) Die cut the oak leaf vein from the Early Espresso...

 This is the time of year I start gearing up for my November routine of sending cards expressing gratitude and thankfulness. I try to send one card each day of the month to let others know that they make a difference in my life. Tonight's card uses the Earthen Elegance set...it's perfect for the fall season AND expressions of gratitude. Measurements of Papers and Ribbon Thick Very Vanilla cardstock (4-1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5-1/2") Very Vanilla cardstock (3-3/4"x 5", scraps) Pretty Peacock cardstock (scrap) Early Espresso cardstock (3-7/8" x 5-1/8", scrap) Earthen Elegance DSP ("bean pot" pattern scrap) Wavy Trim (about 12") Directions Add splatter to the Very Vanilla layer using the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write marker (use cap to help splatter).  Adhere Very Vanilla layer to Early Espresso layer.
